Welcome To Finchale Training College
Sher Aslam is the current CEO of Finchale Training College.
Mr Aslam graduated from the University of Southampton in 1999 before completing Officer Training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He recently retired from the British Army at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His ophthalmic training was conducted in London where he undertook two years of fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital. In 2014, he completed a DPhil at the University of Oxford.
Sher Aslam is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the Manor Hospital, Oxford. In addition, he is a Consultant Ophthalmic and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the Oxford Eye Hospital and an Honorary Consultant Ophthalmic and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Northampton General Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.

The First VC
Richard Wallace Annand VC 1914-2004 was a British soldier and recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest military honour for valour in the face of the enemy. After his heroic actions in World War I, Annand became an active member of Finchale College, using his experiences to support and inspire others on their road to rehabilitation and recovery.
